NORTHERN BEACHES - PERUTRANSPORTATION
The transport is not a problem in the Coastal Region, because in the Regional Capitals of Tumbes, Piura, Lambayeque and La Libertad, the traveller will find collective taxis, cars, omnibus and combis (rural light trucks) that will take him to the main coastal zones without major disadvantages.
The Panamericana Norte - The Pan-American Northern Highway is the umbilical cord between the towns and creeks of the Peruvian Pacific, being a much journeyed route. In addition, the flow of passengers between the different cities and communities is quite intense, which facilitates the goings and comings of the visitors.
For popular and economic fares over short distances you can use the "mototaxis", simple motorised rickshaw type three wheeled motor cycles of a fragile structure. These vehicles are very much used on the coast, mainly in Punta Sal (take the passengers from the Highway to the Beach) and in Máncora (with destinations like the Pocitas and Vichayito).
If you wish to visit virgin beaches of the North of Peru, like Nonura (Piura), we recommended you rent to a light four wheel drive SUVs. to overcome any obstacles and difficulties on the way.
