An extensive network and variety of hotels and hostels can be found in the capital of department, Huaraz, and in the towns around the Huaylas Valley.

Accommodation is a bit scarcer and less varied in the valley's towns. Hotels are governed by market prices, meaning they go up and down depending on the time of year.
