The canyon lands may be calmly visited from June to September. During those months, days are sunny, nights are refreshing and rains are not so frequent. Rains start in December until March, approximately.

Regarding temperatures, as in no other Andean remote place, you may appreciate in this area a variety of microclimates ranging from 8 to 28° C. If you want to enjoy the passion of adventure sports, you may visit this place the first week of May, when the province celebrates its anniversary of political creation (with a fair of wine tasting and traditional party, among other activities) and there are exhibitions of mountain biking, free flight, rafting, rock climbing and trekking.
