The sierra summer goes from May to November and it is the driest season of the year, with almost a total lack of rainfalls. Although temperatures during the day usually rise, they drop below zero degrees Celsius on the nights, presenting a phenomenon known as “the frozen (la helada). However, there are no serious restrictions due to weather conditions, so the Colca Valley can be visited throughout the year.
