Try to walk like the "montaraz" does, i.e. inclining your body forwards, taking longer or shorter steps in order to pace your walk, but always avoiding running or skipping along.
Check well where you put your foot down, the montaraz people always walk with their head looking down, in order to avoid tripping or falling over, which could cause wounds that will then become infected and which may become a serious problem later on.
Follow a general direction but do not try to walk in a straight line, evade obstacles, walk around then and do not try to climb over them.
Often check your general direction, either by using your compass or following a blazed trail, following the signs but not deviating more than 20 degrees from your intended direction, always checking with your compass.
