What are the characteristics must an ANIA volunteer have?

  • The volunteer is a referent in actions and transmittal of
        values in the community.
  • He / She is honest, responsible, solidary, laborious,
         creative and pro-activate.
  • He / She will respect the cultural differences and the beliefs
         of the individuals and groups.
  • Good disposition for field work.
  • Excellent capacity and will of communication with
        the members of the community
  • Good physical training and in conditions to work in very
         elevated temperatures or very cold places and disposition
         to be able to adapt to basic living conditions.

    Of what the does the work of a volunteer consist?

  • To take care of some necessity that the Community or
        ANIA requires.
  • To work in a coordinated way with the locals in charge
        of the initiative la iniciativa.
  • To document the actions that they undertake.
  • To obtain at least one concrete result by
        his / her intervention

  • Which are the areas which a volunteer can support?

  • Art (Dancing, music, theatre, painting)

  • What does the volunteer need to work in the communities?

  • Medical Insurance.
  • Vaccine against Yellow fever (Minimum 10 days
        before the trip).
  • To speak or to understand the Spanish.
  • Resources to take care of their own food and transport
         (individual).
  • Personal Medicines.
  • Tent with mosquito netting.
  • Sleeping bag and backpack.
  • Insect repellent in spray (1 bottle)/insect repellent in cream
         (1 bottle).
  • Poncho/ impermeable jacket.
  • Polar jacket (for times of cold spells).
  • Torches or flash lights.
  • Long sleeved shirts (2) and T-shirts (4).
  • Trousers of cotton.
  • Sun blocker /Hat or cap.
  • Rubber Boots / Wellingtons or hiking boots.
  • A small notebook for annotations.
