Between Palpa and Nazca, on the Pampa of Socos, are located some lines drawn on the ground and between 16 to 44 inches vade. The plain is a blackish, reddish color that turns purple at nightfall. A half circle of distant hills mak@s a natural west-facing amphitheater.
These lines can only be observed fully from the air, on overflying the desert. No one has been able to explain exactly.
